“Run by the people who teach, for people who are sure they can't dance.”
Marisol Vega taught salsa in church halls and gym basements for twelve years before she signed the lease on 18th Street in 2016. She still teaches the Tuesday and Friday salsa classes, and she still learns the hip hop routine every month with everyone else.
Seven teachers have joined her since. Each one teaches the style they trained in, and takes at least one class a week that they don't teach.
