Margaret Lund spent fourteen years as finance director of a regional hospital group before she started Keel in 2011. Her first clients were suppliers she had bought from: family companies growing faster than their systems.

We are now four partners, six consultants and two analysts in one office on Marquette Avenue. Every consultant has run a plant, a sales team or a finance department. We take six to eight clients at a time, so a partner can be in the room each week.

We sell no software, take no commission from vendors and do no audit work. The advice has one interest behind it, which is yours.

    30 minutes, free

    Tell us what is wrong. We say whether we can help and which partner would lead the work.

  2. 02

    The diagnostic

    2 weeks, $8,500

    Interviews, two years of figures and a day on site, written up as a plan with costs and dates.

  3. 03

    The engagement

    6 to 12 weeks

    We do the work alongside your managers, at a fixed fee or a monthly retainer agreed in advance.

  4. 04

    The follow-up

    Half a day, no charge

    Three months on, the partner returns and measures the results against the plan.
