About
A repair company of twelve, on the north side of town
Dale Brennan started Linden in 2014 with a van, a set of tools and a list of jobs from his neighbours in Mordecai. He had spent twenty years building houses and wanted to look after them instead.
We are now twelve: carpenters, painters, fitters and Grace, who answers the phone. Everyone is employed by us, paid by the hour, and lives in Wake County.
We take small jobs on purpose. A sticking door matters to the person who opens it every day, and fixing it well is how we get asked back for the bigger ones.

Materials
Chosen to last, and to be easy to live with
- Paint
- Low-odor, low-VOC acrylic in any color you pick, eggshell on walls and satin on trim. You can sleep in the room that night.
- Wood
- Solid white oak or poplar for anything you'll see, cut and finished on site. No particle board in our shelves.
- Fixings
- Stainless screws, proper wall anchors for drywall and plaster, and the right hinges for the weight of the door.
- Protection
- Drop cloths, shoe covers and a dust extractor on every saw and sander, so the mess leaves with us.
