You write. Send the date and the place. I reply within two days with whether I am free.

We talk. An hour on a call, or a coffee in Hamburg, about the day and the people in it.
- 3
The plan. Two weeks before, we go through the timings, the family list and where the light falls.
- 4
Your gallery. Four weeks after the wedding, with twenty photos sent the week after as a first look.
Questions.
- Do you travel?
- Yes, about half my weddings are outside Germany. You cover the flight and one night, booked by me at cost.
- Do you bring an assistant?
- No. I work alone, so there is one quiet person with a camera, not a crew.
- Can we have the raw files?
- No. You get every photo worth keeping, edited, at full size and with the right to print them.
- What if you are ill?
- Three photographers I trust cover for each other. In twelve years it has happened once.
