Plain skincare, grown close to home

Face oils, cleansers and creams, made in small batches in Port Townsend from camelina, oat and calendula.

Every formula lists its ingredients and where they come from. If we can't name the farm, it doesn't go in the bottle.

Four formulas, made slowly

Each batch is mixed, poured and labeled by three people in one room. We would rather sell four things we use every day than twenty we don't.

The autumn batch

Poured in September and sent out this week: about 300 of each, while they last.

Refills

Where everything comes from

Three of the four main ingredients come from Washington. The squalane is the one part we can't grow or press nearby.

  1. Ritzville, Washington

    Camelina

Cold-pressed seed oil from a dryland wheat farm that sows camelina between its harvests.

  2. Palouse, Washington

    Oat

Organic oats from the Halvorsen farm, milled to a fine colloidal flour for the cleansing gel.

  3. Chimacum, Washington

    Calendula

Grown on our own half-acre plot, dried in the barn and steeped in oil for six weeks.

  4. Andalusia, Spain

    Squalane

Made from olive oil by a mill near Jaén, the only part of the range we can't grow or press nearby.

What our customers say

  • ★★★★★

“My skin is dry and most creams sit on top of it. This one is gone in a minute, and the flaking on my cheeks stopped in the second week.”

    Marta K., Seattle

  • ★★★★★

“Three drops at night is enough. My first bottle of the camelina oil lasted until spring, and I've had it refilled twice since.”

    Dana R., Portland

  • ★★★★☆

“The toner has no added scent, only a faint smell of calendula. I keep it on my desk and use it in the afternoon when the office heating is on.”

    Jo L., Olympia

Two dollars from every order goes back to the farms

Paid each spring to the growers of our oat, calendula and camelina. Last year it came to $11,400.
