About

Hi, I'm Nora

I was born at St. Charles, went to Bend High, and spent my twenties restoring old houses on the east side with my father. In 2011 I got my license and sold the last one we finished.

Fifteen years later I still work alone, from a small office on Bond Street. Dana, my assistant, comes in Tuesday to Thursday and keeps the paperwork and the inspections on schedule. Everything else is me.

Where I work

Bend and the towns around it

  • Old Bend

Bungalows from the 1920s and 30s, walking distance to Drake Park and downtown.

  • NorthWest Crossing

Newer houses on small lots, two schools and a Saturday farmers market.

  • Awbrey Butte

Larger homes on the slope, many with views of the Cascades.

  • Southeast Bend

The best value in town for a first house, with room for a shop or a garden.

  • Tumalo

Acreage with wells, irrigation rights and horse fencing, ten minutes from town.

  • Sisters and Redmond

Quieter towns for people who work from home or commute to the airport.

How I work

What you get, and what it costs

Selling your home

2.5% at closing

  1. 1I visit, look at what sold nearby, and send a price in writing within two days.
  2. 2A photographer, a floor plan and my staging notes, all paid by me.
  3. 3I hold every showing and open house myself, and call you after each one.
  4. 4I negotiate the offers, the inspection and the repairs, through to closing.

Buying a home

2.5%, usually paid by the seller

  1. 1We meet for an hour and sign a buyer agreement that says what I charge.
  2. 2I send you homes before they reach Zillow, and tour them on video if you live away.
  3. 3I write the offer with what sold on that street, not the asking price.
  4. 4I book the inspector, the well and septic tests, and walk them with you.

Renting out a house

One month's rent

  1. 1For owners who keep a house when they move, I set the rent from current leases.
  2. 2I list it, show it, and screen tenants for income, credit and references.
  3. 3I write a one-year Oregon lease and do the move-in walk-through with photos.
  4. 4After that I hand over the keys. I do not manage rentals month to month.
