Three chairs on Milwaukee Avenue
Open since 2014 in Wicker Park, a four-minute walk from the Damen Blue Line.
Our story · Est. 2014
Started with two chairs
Marco Reyes cut hair in a hotel barbershop downtown for eight years before he took the lease on a closed shoe-repair two doors from the bike shop. The mirrors came from an auction in Gary; the chairs from a shop in Milwaukee that was retiring them.
He opened with two chairs and a second-hand register. Ana came in 2016, the third chair in 2019 with Jamal. Nobody has left since, and nobody works on commission.

How a visit goes
- 1
Book or walk in
Request a time on the booking page or by phone. Walk-ins get the free chair, Tuesday to Friday.
- 2
Talk it through
Five minutes in the chair before anything is cut: what you have, what you want, and what your hair will let you have.
- 3
The work
Clippers, scissors or the razor. Every cut ends with a hot-foam neck shave and a look at the back in the hand mirror.
- 4
Pay and go
Card or cash at the counter. If something isn't right within seven days, come back and we fix it free.
Barbers, not stylists
Every one of us trained on clippers and a straight razor. Fades, tapers and flat-tops are the whole job, not a sideline.
Your time is your time
Book 2:30, sit down at 2:30. We leave ten minutes between appointments so nobody runs into your slot.
Products we use ourselves
Clay, pomade and beard oil from two small makers in Illinois, on the shelf by the door. Ask and we'll show you how much to use.
Coffee or a cold beer
On the house while you wait, and no music you have to shout over.
Come and sit down
Book with any of us, or leave it to whoever is free first.
