What changes when you move
Pages with their own address
On Carrd, sections switch in place on one page; Carrd’s documentation says they “simulate the effect of having multiple pages”. They share one page, reached as /#name, with one title, one description and one share image, so a search lists the site once and every link to it looks the same.
On Fairpage each page has its own address, search title, description and share image, and the sitemap lists them. A link to the listings page shows a house, in a search and in a message.
Written for you, changed in place
Carrd starts from a template or a blank page, and you write and place each element. Fairpage starts from a template the AI fits to your business, its pages written from what you tell it.
After that, select any text and type over it, replace a picture, or select part of a page and say what you want. The AI can change a page’s layout, colours and fonts as well as its words, and what it changes waits in a draft until you publish.
Listings, posts or events, kept as lists
Carrd has no lists: listings or news are text placed on the page, changed by editing the layout.
On Plus a list is kept in Content, one entry at a time, and the pages show it: add a listing and the listings page shows it; add a post and it gets its own page. A Lite site can try Plus for 14 days.
